Skyview Power Centre Offers Support for Fort McMurray Residents

May 06/16  Triovest’s management team along with tenants of Skyview Power Centre have joined forces to offer relief to fleeing residents of Fort McMurray.

In response to the devastating fire and resulting state of emergency in Fort McMurray, many retailers at Skyview will be offering discounts to affected families and individuals.

“I spent the afternoon at Skyview speaking to some of the tenants and meeting more than fifteen families that were evacuated with nothing more than the clothes on their back.” said Tracey Johanson, Property Manager of Skyview,  “They were all clearly in a state of  shock –  that made it easy to spot after a few conversations. Now that they are out safe and have settled in at the shelters north of Edmonton (Lac La Biche, Boyle etc.) and within Edmonton, they are looking to get clothes and some kitchen items.”

Tracey met with tenants, and with their assistance, came up with a game plan to offer discounts.

” As a community shopping centre it is our duty to offer a helping hand and assist our patrons that are going through difficult times” said Tracey.
