Board of Directors
Philip J. Homan
Philip J. Homan is Vice-Chair of Coril Holdings Ltd. and former CEO of Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. Loram is active globally in the design, build and operations for various maintenance of way equipment and activities including rail grinding, ballast cleaning, top of rail friction management, material handling, track inspection technologies and structural monitoring. Phil is active in the railroad industry and is a member of American Railway Engineering Maintenance-of-way Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) from 2004 to 2015 where he was appointed President in 2011. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Iowa State University and received his C.P.A. designation in 1988. He joined Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. as Controller in 1993 and was appointed to various management positions including General Manager Europe, Manager Business Development, Vice President Marketing and Executive Vice President. In 2008 Phil was named President & CEO and appointed to the Board of Directors.
Glenn Hynes
Glenn Hynes is an accomplished corporate executive, proven financial professional and distinguished academic. With a diverse background and extensive experience in real estate finance, operations & investment, food retailing, energy, and government, he brings a unique perspective and invaluable expertise to his role as a member of Triovest’s Board of Directors. Over his career, Glenn has held several key positions at Crombie REIT, joining as CFO & Secretary in 2010, and becoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2018 with national oversight of development, construction, operations, and leasing; retiring in late 2022. Prior to Crombie REIT, Glenn was CFO & Partner of Bluewave Energy; a national fuel distribution business. From 1996 to 2006, he held several executive positions with Sobeys Inc. including EVP & CFO and EVP & Chief Development Officer.
Glenn is a 2017 graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School and is a BBA graduate of UPEI and earned his CA designation with Coopers & Lybrand. He is past Chair of Atlantic Provinces Economic Council (APEC) and past Executive Committee member and Finance & Audit Committee Chair of UPEI. In 2013, he completed the Directors Education Program (DEP) at the ICD and in 2014, achieved the ICD.D designation. Glenn received the FCA designation in 2011, FCPA designation in 2017, UPEI’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2002 and Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2000. Glenn’s expertise extends beyond his professional endeavors. He actively engages with industry associations and serves on corporate boards, where he influences policy and contributes to shaping the future of the respective organizations. Glenn’s multidisciplinary background enables him to navigate complex challenges, anticipate market disruptions, and identify strategic growth opportunities.
Christine Sayegh-Filgiano
Christine Sayegh-Filgiano offers the experience of over 30 years in the Canadian financial services industry, managing national and international platforms in lending, investment management and pension management. A native of Montreal, she started her career as a commercial real estate lender for major financial institutions (CIBC, Scotiabank, Desjardins). After obtaining the CFA designation in 2000, she spent the next 10 years working for a private investment firm, Letko, Brosseau and Associates, where she focused on fund raising, developed expertise in pension management and a more in-depth knowledge of the capital markets. This led her to the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in 2010 and afterwards to Ivanhoé Cambridge, its real estate arm, where she successively occupied the roles of Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations for the North American Office portfolio, and finally Executive Vice President, Portfolio Construction and Risk Management until she retired in 2020. She has successfully led business transformations and their growth through complex market cycles and has experience with debt and equity capital in both public and private markets. A graduate of Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business and a CFA charterholder, she obtained the ASC Directors' certification from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés du Québec with Université Laval. Ms. Filgiano currently serves on the boards of Desjardins Sécurité Financière, Avenue 31 Capital and the University of Montreal endowment fund. She also volunteers at Le Chaînon, helping women who are in a precarious financial situation regain control.
Stephen B. Mannix
Stephen B. Mannix is a fourth-generation family entrepreneur and international businessman. He serves as Executive Chair and a Director of Coril Holdings Ltd., a Canadian-based global asset management company operating in railroad maintenance, commercial real estate and investments. Based in Brisbane, Stephen is Managing Director the Australian subsidiary of Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc., a leading supplier of railway maintenance services and equipment around the globe. Stephen formerly led Triovest Capital in executing real estate investment strategies in Canada’s major centres to generate superior returns for Triovest and its institutional partners. His experience includes working in various capacities in commercial real estate, as well as several other industries including investment management, construction and agriculture. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (International Business) and Bachelor of Laws degrees and is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta.
Deanna Zumwalt
Deanna Zumwalt is President & CEO and Director of Coril Holdings Ltd. She is responsible for leading and directing Coril’s business initiatives, including subsidiary companies that operate in Canada, the United States and globally. Deanna joined Coril in September 2015 as CFO and was recently promoted to President. Over the past 25 years, Ms. Zumwalt has held senior management positions at Nexen Energy ULC and Anadarko Canada. Ms. Zumwalt holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary as well as a Diploma in Financial Strategy from Oxford University. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and holds an Institute of Corporate Directors, Director Designation. She was appointed Chair of Triovest in January of 2021.
Ted Willcocks
Ted Willcocks is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Triovest. Ted brings more than 25 years of diverse international experience in commercial real estate, having held a series of increasingly senior positions with CBRE, Brookfield Properties, and most recently, Manulife. For the last several years, he led the development and implementation of the real estate strategy for Manulife Investment Management, overseeing portfolio management, asset management, and development in Canada, the United States, Australia and Asia, accelerating the growth of its Private Markets business. Ted is a former US Executive Board Member of NAIOP and the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE).
