Triovest Receives Canada’s Greenest Employer Recognition

Triovest is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a 2019 Canada’s Greenest Employer. This recognition supports Triovest’s mission to create sustainable places that enhance communities and enrich relationships.

Now in its 12th year, Canada’s Greenest Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes employers that lead the nation in creating a culture of environmental awareness. Winning employers, selected by editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, are evaluated using four main criteria:

  • unique environmental initiatives or programs they have developed;
  •  success in reducing their own environmental footprint;
  • employee involvement in these programs and contribution of unique skills; and
  • linking environmental initiatives to the employer’s public identity, attracting new employees or customers.

“At Triovest, environmental responsibility is part of our mission,” said Kit Milnes, Senior Manager, Sustainability. “Not only do we carry out these practices as an employer, but also in our work in commercial real estate across Canada.”

Triovest developed its own award-winning state-of-the-art centralized environmental and sustainability management system named “TESA”.  TESA was developed to facilitate clients, asset managers, property managers and corporate services teams to review, log and update environmental reports and sustainability data.  This system has increased Property Managers’ efficiency and accuracy in dealing with environmental and sustainability issues.

“We take our mission seriously: our people are asked to set an annual sustainability goal to which a portion of their bonus is assigned,” said Louise Porthouse, VP Human Resources. “We also have internal environmental and sustainability policies in place to guide and support our teams.”

Triovest thanks Canada’s Top 100 Employers for this recognition as we continue to develop and expand our leadership in sustainability in the commercial real estate industry.
