Triovest Launches Spectrum Square Phase Two
On December 5, 2017, Triovest held the official project launch for Spectrum Square Phase Two on behalf of HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan), its pension fund client and property developer. The event was attended by Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Stephen Taylor of HOOPP, lead tenant ERCO Worldwide, JLL, Newmark Knight Frank Devencore, BPI Consultants and Gillam Group.
Designed by Sweeny & Company, the second phase office complex will feature numerous sustainable and state-of-the-art design features including:
- a pressurized raised floor HVAC system
- floor-to-ceiling and operable windows
- daylight harvesting
- outdoor terraces
- flexible floor plates
“It is our privilege to be associated with an esteemed pension fund developer in HOOPP to improve this wonderful city (to which I call home) by bringing a first-class office building to the market in 2019,” said Stephen Rawlin, Triovest’s Senior Vice President of Asset Management.
Triovest commissioned local artist Tom Ngo, to create an image inspired by Spectrum Square as a hub of commercial activity. Tom reimagined the building as an apparatus for the future business habitation of this employment district. Buses and pedestrians circulate through and between the design of the new building’s elevations. The image was then etched onto commemorative shovels.
Spectrum Square is located in the Airport Corporate Centre area of Mississauga directly beside the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The BRT Spectrum Station is connected to Spectrum Square making this location easily accessible.
The fully built-out site will result in an excess of 1 million square feet of office, retail and hotel space.
