Christine Sayegh-Filgiano
Christine Sayegh-Filgiano offers the experience of over 30 years in the Canadian financial services industry, managing national and international platforms in lending, investment management and pension management. A native of Montreal, she started her career as a commercial real estate lender for major financial institutions (CIBC, Scotiabank, Desjardins). After obtaining the CFA designation in 2000, she spent the next 10 years working for a private investment firm, Letko, Brosseau and Associates, where she focused on fund raising, developed expertise in pension management and a more in-depth knowledge of the capital markets. This led her to the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in 2010 and afterwards to Ivanhoé Cambridge, its real estate arm, where she successively occupied the roles of Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations for the North American Office portfolio, and finally Executive Vice President, Portfolio Construction and Risk Management until she retired in 2020. She has successfully led business transformations and their growth through complex market cycles and has experience with debt and equity capital in both public and private markets. A graduate of Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business and a CFA charterholder, she obtained the ASC Directors' certification from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés du Québec with Université Laval. Ms. Filgiano currently serves on the boards of Desjardins Sécurité Financière, Avenue 31 Capital and the University of Montreal endowment fund. She also volunteers at Le Chaînon, helping women who are in a precarious financial situation regain control.
