Leading Sustainability Performance at the 2020 HOOPP LEAP Awards

Triovest is pleased to announce that it received five awards at the ninth-annual Leadership in Environmental Advancement Program (“LEAP”) Awards from the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (“HOOPP”). The virtual awards ceremony took place on Thursday, June 11th and recognized best-in-class sustainability performance at HOOPP-owned properties.

Triovest received awards in the following categories:

Climate Leader Award –  1 Prologis Blvd, Mississauga, ON
Recognized for thorough identification of risks and mitigation measures, as well as mitigation actions taken thus far and plans for continuous improvement.

Energy Saver Award – Centrium Place, Calgary, AB
Selected for team’s substantial efforts to complete numerous operational improvements, including updating your BMS, LED retrofits and upgrading heating and cooling equipment, which resulted in significant energy reductions.

Sustainability Innovator: Technology Award  – ATB Place, Edmonton, AB
Recognized for the implementation of natural sphagnum moss water treatment. This new and innovative practice is impressive for its environmental, health and safety, and business case benefits.

Sustainable Operator Award – Spectrum Square, Mississauga, ON
Recognized due to the team’s strong sustainability practices through both operational and engagement initiatives including boiler control changes, TEAMVIEWER technology, bike-to-work week and outdoor fitness classes.

Water Winner: Office Award –  ATCO Centre, Edmonton, AB
Recognized for the team’s efforts to improve the efficiency of the cooling system and reduce water use in landscaping features which led to 2019 water-consumption reductions
