Certificate of Excellence for ATB Place in Edmonton

Triovest is pleased to announce the receipt of a Certificate of Excellence for ATB Place (formerly Telus Plaza) in Edmonton, Alberta.

Located in the financial district of downtown Edmonton on prominent Jasper Avenue, ATB Place, is an Edmonton landmark with breathtaking views of the Edmonton river valley and the North Saskatchewan River. The property includes ATB Place, ATB North Tower, Telus House, the concourse, and ATB East Building.

This award is an acknowledgement of the dedication and hard work of the team at ATB Place led by Jody Kundrik.

BOMA’s Certificate of Excellence program sets the industry standard and recognizes excellence in property and facility management. Certification acknowledges performance quality and the people behind it. Buildings must meet standards in building management, operations, environmental/ energy/emergency management, design, tenant and community relations, tenant satisfaction and personnel training.

Construction to Begin on Industrial Development in Halton Hills

Triovest is pleased to announce the development of the first phase of a 58 acre site in Halton Hills. The new 320,000 square foot industrial building will be LEED certified and will be expanded in a later phase to total approximately 520,000 square feet.

This industrial development site, in the GTA West, was acquired in February 2014 on behalf of Canada Post Pension Fund and Hydro Quebec Pension Fund. Triovest will act as Development Manager during construction and Asset and Property Manager once the development is complete.

Halton Hills is a key logistic hub within the GTA West distribution market due to its proximity to the 401 series highway which provides easy access to all major highways and the airport.

Construction is scheduled to commence later in 2014.

Triovest Acquires Asset Management Responsibilities for a Portfolio of Properties in Quebec

Triovest is pleased to announce the acquisition of an asset management mandate for a substantial portfolio of properties located in Quebec.

Effective May 1st, 2014, Triovest will asset manage a primarily industrial portfolio of properties owned by West Island Equities Inc. (Société de placement de l’ouest de l’île inc.) which is part of Greystone Managed Investments Inc.

The portfolio includes eight industrial and two office properties located on the West Island of Montreal. The majority of the properties were developed over the past three to five years by Broccolini Construction. Major tenants include Anixter, XTL, Easton, and Sanofi.

Triovest Acquires 8530 Cambie Street in Vancouver, BC

Triovest is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 5 acre site, in partnership with the PCI Group, located at 8530 Cambie Street in Vancouver, BC.

The site is strategically located directly south of the 750,000 square foot Marine Gateway mixed-use development currently under construction and is well served by transit.

This property is currently leased and occupied by an automotive dealership.

Triovest Acquires a Large Industrial Development Site in Halton Hills

Triovest has acquired a 58 acre industrial development site in the GTA West on behalf of Canada Post Pension Fund and Hydro Quebec Pension Fund. Approximately 820,000 square feet will be built in two phases. Triovest will act as Development Monitor during construction and Asset and Property Manager once the development is complete.

The site is conveniently located at the corner of James Snow Parkway and Steeles Ave., and is less than 0.5 km from the James Snow Parkway/Hwy 401 Interchange.

Halton Hills is a key logistic hub within the GTA West distribution market due to its proximity to the 401 series highway which provides easy access to all major highways and the airport.

This represents an important and strategic acquisition for Triovest as this will be the first purchase made by Triovest on behalf of Hydro Quebec Pension Fund establishing a significant industrial presence in the GTA market.

Gold and Platinum Marcom Awards for Two Triovest Earth Initiative Marketing Campaigns

We are pleased to announce that Triovest & Elixir Marketing have won a Gold and a Platinum Marcom award for two Triovest Earth Initiative marketing campaigns in 2013 led by the IRES team.

MarCom Awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio, web materials and programs. The largest of its kind in the world, MarCom Awards winners include media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies, whose three piece marketing campaigns are categorized as print media, strategic communications, web-based media, web creativity, print creativity and publications.

Skyview Power Centre in Edmonton Achieves BOMA BESt Level 2

Triovest is pleased to announce the receipt of a BOMA BESt Certificate of Achievement, Level 2, for environmental excellence in the management Skyview Power Centre in North West Edmonton.

Located on the north side of 137th Avenue, between 133rd Street and 140th Street, Skyview Power Centre is a dominant 324,450 sq.ft. retail centre. The Centre forms the nucleus of a major Edmonton retail node and is comprised of smaller CRU buildings, large big-box style tenants, and freestanding pads. This property originally achieved the BOMA BESt Level 1 certification in 2010.

The Skyview team is made up of Russ Fawcett, Property Manager, Colette Ducharme, Property Management Assistant as well as the Site Supervisor, John Goodwin, who was integral in the centre achieving a Level 2.

Triovest Receives Three BOMA BESt Certificates of Achievement in Montreal

Triovest is pleased to announce BOMA BESt Certificates of Achievement for 8000 Decarie Blvd., 1245 Sherbrooke St. W. and 999 De Maisonneuve Blvd. W. located in Montreal, Quebec.

8000 Decarie Blvd. – LEVEL 2 BOMA BESt

8000 Decarie Boulevard is a 134,482 square foot office tower. This class A building is strategically located near the Autoroute 40 and the Decarie Highway in Montreal. The lead tenants are SNC-Lavalin, OVO Fertility Clinic, the accounting firm Nexia-Friedman and CIBC.

1245 Sherbrooke St. W. – LEVEL 2 BOMA BESt

Built in 1960, the 297,000 square foot open concept building is located at 1245 Sherbrooke Street West. The lead tenant is Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada. There are approximately 1,400 occupants and the building operates 70 hours a week. Owned by Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada, the building includes a data center, restaurant/food court and a gym.

999 De Maisonneuve Blvd. W. – LEVEL 1 BOMA BESt

Located at the corner of Maisonneuve West and Metcalfe Street, 999 De Maisonneuve Boulevard is a class A building. The 223,130 square foot tower has 18 floors of office and commercial space. The tower was built in 1990 and is conveniently located in close proximity to the commercial centres of downtown Montreal. The lead tenants are Hatch Ltd, TD Canada Trust, and Imprimeries Transcontinental. The building includes a gym, conference center, and restaurant.
